Funeral services for Marie Mount, 93, will be held Thursday June 14, 2012 10 am in Monterey Baptist Church with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday June 13 from 6 to 8 pm in Resthaven Funeral Home.
Marie was born June 22, 1918 in Dickens, TX. She lived most of her life in Lubbock was very active in Monterey Baptist Church. Marie married Wheeler D. Mount June 4, 1938. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and later with her daughter.
Marie is survived by 2 daughters, Rita Wright of Lubbock and Ginger Cooper of Edmond, OK; Daughter-in-law Wyvonne Mount of Lubbock; 5 grandchildren, Melinda Scheller, Jeff Mount, Shawna Simpson, Krista Scott and Weston Cooper; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Dub Mount.
