

Marilou Harrison, 87, of Cleburne, Texas passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 in Cleburne. She was born in Escanaba, Michigan, on September 7, 1929 to Lou and Phyllis Kelly Villemur. Marilou has two siblings: Albert Villemur and Phyllis Westerman of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Marilou graduated from Escanaba High School in 1947, and then attended Columbus Hospital Nursing School at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Marilou earned the top score on the state RN exam. She worked as a RN at Columbus Hospital in Chicago where she met Ben Harrison a FBI agent.
Marilou married Ben Harrison on August 29, 1953 in Chicago. Marilou raised 2 children before returning to work at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lubbock as a Cardiac Nurse for twenty years.
Marilou loved to travel, play bridge and read books, but above all she loved her husband of 63 years, her daughter Barb and husband Dave, her son Scott and wife Brenda and her five grandchildren Keenan Voit and wife Lindsay, Kelsey Moakler and husband Brad, Hal Harrison, Hunter Harrison and wife Katie and Hogan Harrison.
Marilou was a lifetime member of CampFire and PTA, active in the Lubbock Women’s Club and a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church from 1962.
Marilou was preceded in death by her parents, her niece Robin Loughran, and her nephew Michael Westerman.
