

Marjorie Ruth Lewis Nash, of Lubbock, Texas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother - Mamie, and friend, was reunited with her husband Elihu Reuel Nash and her son Edward Reuel Nash, in their heavenly home on Monday, March 23, 2015.
Marjorie Ruth was born April 16, 1930, in Pampa, Texas, to Hazel Wiggins and Marvin Lewis. She was a graduate of Abilene High School and was a cum laude, Bachelor of Arts degree graduate of Baylor University. Marjorie was a Baylor beauty and a golden girl in Chapter AK, P.E.O. She loved her AK sister friends, and she appreciated the fellowship time with her Sunday school class at First Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas.
Marjorie and Reuel met while they were attending Baylor University and married on June 30, 1950, in Abilene, Texas. They lived in Austin, Texas, briefly before moving in 1955 to Plainview, Texas, where they raised their five children. During those years, she delighted them with her passion for the piano and music, as well as being a fervent Sunday school teacher for freshman ladies attending Wayland Baptist University. The First Baptist Church in Plainview was the focal point of many family activities.
In 1972, Marjorie and Reuel moved their family to Lubbock. Marjorie remained faithful to her family and their activities; she was devoted to First Baptist Church, Lubbock. Marjorie was a beautiful and courageous lady, and she will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness of others.
Cherishing her precious memory is her loving daughter Linda Ruth Nash; her daughter Susan Roup and sons Edward Roup and Steven Roup; her son Wayne Nash and wife Donna, and son Michael Nash, and daughters Kristen Nash and Kathleen Nash; and, her son Robert Nash and wife Allison, and daughter Emily Nash Kitch and her husband Denver, and great granddaughter Natalie Bryn, and son Patrick Nash, and daughters Julia Nash and Brittany Alexandra. Her sister Bonibelle Lewis Kiker, as well as several loving nieces and nephews, remember her fondly.
Marjorie’s family would like to thank her special, caring friends who assisted her in so many wonderful ways.
