Mark was raised in Brownfield, Tx and moved to Lubbock to follow his heart in radio broadcasting. He worked in many cities from El Paso to Kansas City for various formats of radio stations. He was also a 1st Class Broadcast engineer.
Mark suffered polio at the age of 4. A fortunate survivor with only one leg involved, he was an early pioneer in arterial grafting and muscle transplantation in his leg. He was also a volunteer program leader for MHMR and proponent for those individuals living with schizophrenia. Mark was happy in his life and in his home.
He is survived by his caring wife Virginia, step daughters Nancy Guinn, her children Amber, Levi, Andi, Eric and Marcial Salinas, and Robin Cooley, her children John and Melandie Cooley, step son Bobby Guinn and his children, Ashley, Andrea and Reagan Guinn.
