Services for Mary Isobel Alsup, 84, of Lubbock, will be held at 10 a.m on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Mausoleum. Mrs. Alsup passed away on Wednesday, December 8th.
Mary was born on June 16, 1926 in England. She married Gavin Alsup during WWII. She retired from Sears after 25 years of employment and was an Episcopalian.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; a son, David Alsup and a grandson, Paul Alsup.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane E. Watkins of Lubbock; one sister, Betty Newton of England; five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., and family will receive friends at the home of the deceased for tea, from noon – 4 p.m.
