

Mary George Beyer, age 78, of Lubbock, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016. She was born in Era, Texas, on February 28, 1938 to the late Lena and George Wilson. She graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelors in Education; she earned her Master’s in Education from Texas Tech University. She taught school for the Brownfield and Lubbock Independent School Districts for more than 33 years.
After her retirement, she returned to school, where she earned her Master’s in Counseling. She enjoyed golf, reading, and painting with oil and acrylic paints. She enjoyed working with senior citizens and helping others in need. She belonged to the Twinless Twins support group and many professional organizations. She was an active member of the Roaring Springs Ranch Club and a proud member at St. Johns Methodist Church in Lubbock.
She is preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Georgia Mae Terry; and brother, Harold Wilson.
She is survived by many close friends she considered family.
