Mary Ester Dominguez

Mary Ester Dominguez, 81, of Lubbock, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2021. She was born on July 10, 1940 to Jesus and Ramona Dominguez in Nova Caohuila Mexico. She was one out of eight children born to Jesus and Ramona. She has left this earthly body behind and has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, as well as, her family, which she is rejoicing with.

Mary was an outgoing woman who enjoyed to stay busy during her free time. She worked as a farmer in the Whitharral – Levelland area for 20 years. She then worked as a Dietary Aid in the Levelland Nursing home until she retired. She attended the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland until she moved to Sundown, Texas in 1989 where she became a member of San Isidro Catholic Church. She then moved to Lubbock, Texas in 2009 and became a member of Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church. She remained a devoted member until her passing.

Mary enjoyed cooking and volunteering at soup kitchens. She always looked forward to cooking for the holidays. Her family looked forward to the holidays as well so they can eat her delicious food. She was a giving person and was always there for people who were in need. Everyone enjoyed seeing her smiling face. She will be missed deeply from her family, friends, and everyone who met her.

As much as Mary loved to cook and volunteer her number one love and joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love for her family was never out numbered.

She is survived by her children Mary (Rudy) Castillo of Lubbock, TX, Letty Pesqueda (Pedra Luna) of Levelland, TX, Tomas Camacho (Patty) of Gardner, NC, Julie (Matthew) Gonzales of Lubbock, TX. 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Jesus and Ramona, her son Guadalupe Coronado, her daughters Betty Coronado and Virginia Cortez.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 7:30PM with a Rosary to begin at 6:30PM. Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 2:00PM at Christ the King Cathedral, 4011 54th St, Lubbock, TX 79413.
