Mary Kathryn Evans Taylor Stewart

Mary Kathryn (Evans) Taylor Stewart passed away at the age of 87 in Lubbock, TX on March 23, 2017. She was born May 8, 1929 in Douglas, Arizona to Agnes Maurine (Forehand) and Joseph Wesley Evans, Jr. She had one sister, Wesley Jean Evans.

Kathryn attended school in Mertzon, TX from grade school through high school. Following high school, she attended Texas University for 3 years. She later received her degree from College of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM.

On September 9, 1949 Kathryn married Otwell Cathey Taylor. She is survived by her children: Karen and Johnny Dickens of Lovington, NM; Rhea Marrs of Ponchatoula, LA; Cristal and Paul Isaacks of Levelland, TX. Also surviving her are 4 grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren.

On June 1, 2015 Kathyrn married Norman Stewart, a very special friend and companion who survives her in the home.

Kathryn was predeceased by her sister, first husband and son-in-law, Robert Dee Marrs.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Johnny Dickens, Paul Isaacks, Evan Marrs, Darrin Marrs, Taylor Marrs and Kane Isaacks.
