Mary Esther Chappell Leatherwood

Celebration of Life services for Mary Leatherwood, 85, of Lubbock will be held at 1 pm. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Rev. David Menefee officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, March 14, 2011at Resthaven Funeral Home. Mary passed from this life, Friday, March 11, 2011.

Mary Esther was born December 23, 1925 in Lane, OK to the late Walter and Rhodie (Woods) Chappell.

She married T.B. Leatherwood, August 25, 1941.

Mary was preceded in death by a son T.B. Leatherwood, Jr in 1946, husband, T. B. Leatherwood, September 23, 1993, step-daughter, Elizabeth Bryant, April 2, 1998, daughter, JoAnn Levison, May 16, 2010, and son-in-law, Kenneth Lee, October 6, 2010 and six brothers and two sisters.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are daughters; Louise Stephens and husband, Don, of Lubbock, Billie Lee of Ft. Worth, grandchildren; Don Stephens, Jr, Terry Stephens, Denny Davis, Jody Bennett, Kim Turner, Chip Lee, Dan Bryant, Jr., Leigh Bryant, Dana Valentine, Mary Clark and Tom Bryant, 29 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
