Mary Ramsey was born in Frackville, PA on August 22, 1925, to Mabel S. and Robert John Osenbach. She grew up in a loving Christian family. Her older brother Robert George Osenbach preceded her in death. Her younger brother Thomas M. Osenbach is alive at the age of 96.
At the end of World War Il, she met and married her husband Clarence Cecil Ramsey in 1945. He brought her home to Texas where she spent the last 81 years. They had one child.
She is survived by their daughter Betty Weaver, Her granddaughter Kristen Koch her husband Brett Koch and their children Alice and Catherine.
Mary had a rich full life. She has been a member of Lakeridge Methodist Church since 1981. She last worked as Business Manager of Student Publications at Texas Tech University. Her granddaughter Kristen and great granddaughters Alice and Catherine were her delight. She loved working in the yard and growing vegetables for family and friends.
Mary and Cecil were married for one 16 years before he passed away. He was the love of her life. After 64 years apart, Mary will join him at Resthaven Memorial Parker. They will be together forever in Heaven.
A service celebrating Mary’s life will be held Saturday, September 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel 6025 82ND Street Lubbock Texas 79424. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Bridge Hospice and the staff at Promiseland for the loving care they gave our beloved Bammy. They became friends and family to us, and we could not have made this journey without their support. They went above and beyond for our family in so many ways. We thank God for bringing them into our lives; they have been a true blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lubbock Meals on Wheels in Mary’s memory.
