

Mary Ann was born on March 5, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, to H.P. and Guyneth Thomson. She grew up with a love for learning that would later become a lifelong calling. In January 1960, she married the love of her life, Carl Teeter, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than 66 years.
Mary Ann dedicated 32 years to teaching, spending the majority of her career in special education. She believed every child deserved patience, encouragement, and the opportunity to succeed. Her compassion and unwavering commitment touched the lives of countless students, families, and fellow educators.
She was a longtime member of the Lubbock Women's Club, where she formed lasting friendships and gave generously of her time. Mary Ann and Carl shared a love of tennis and enjoyed many years playing together. She also loved spending time at the lake, treasured trips to New York, and found joy in life's simple pleasures.
Above all, Mary Ann's greatest happiness came from her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and delighted in gathering everyone around her table. Her love was often expressed through the meals she lovingly prepared, creating cherished memories that will live on for generations.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Carl Teeter; her children, Greg Teeter and Lisa (Cliff) Chandler; her grandchildren, Amber (Dexter) Aaron and Hunter (Kendra) Spear; her great-grandchildren, A.J. Aaron, Blakely Aaron, and Everly Spear; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Thomson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.P. and Guyneth Thomson, and her brother, Richard Thomson.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, steadfast devotion to her family, and the countless lives she enriched through her teaching and friendship. Her legacy of love, service, and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
