Mercedes is survived by 4 sons, Joe M. Carrasco and his wife Emma of Cedartown, Georgia, Jesse Carrasco and his wife Beatrice of Lubbock, Cecil Carrasco and his wife Marisela of Modesto, CA and Robert Carrasco of Lubbock; 2 daughters, Dominga C Valdez and husband Elizardo and Carolyn C Tello and husband Robert both of Lubbock; sister, Manuela Luna of Seminole, Texas; 25 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 43 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe Carrasco Sr., 2 sons, one sister and one brother.
Visitation will be today April 10, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. A funeral Mass will be said Thursday, April 11 at 2:00 pm in St Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
