Mildred "Midge" Arnold

Mildred E. Arnold, lovingly known as “Midge,” left her earthly home on June 9, 2023 at the blessed age of 98. She was born to the late Tommy Lee and Edna Lela (Petty) Stalter in Athens, TX on July 14, 1924.

Midge was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends, baking some of her delicious sourdough breads, oyster crackers, pies and cookies, to name a few; and traveling in her earlier years with her late husband and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles E. Arnold Sr; son, Charles Edwin Arnold Jr; and brothers, Wilson and Cecil Stalter. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her grandchildren, Lisa Arnold of Amarillo, Charlie Arnold of Lubbock; great-granddaughter, Ashley Petties of Amarillo; great-great-granddaughter, Alyssa Petties of Amarillo; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family invites you to join them as they honor and celebrate her life at St. Luke’s Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10am. Visitation will begin one-hour prior to service.
