Mildred Irene Oswald, 94, of Lubbock passed away peacefully on Sunday December 14, 2014. THe family will receive friends on Tuesday December 16, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home for a visitation from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Resthven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mildred was born on February 19, 1920 in Meadow, TX to the late Price James and Lilly Pearl (Evans) Nettles. Mildred worked as an accountant in several different industries. She was a strong willed woman with a great work ethic. She loved the Lord, and could be often found studying the bible.
She is survived by her daughter, Montrelle Cox; sons, Price Joe Oswald and his wife Leea, and Kenneth Ray Oswald and his wife Beverly; nine grand-children; numerous great grandchildren; and one survivng sister Rolita Bruzzese.
