Mindi Allison Pacheco

Mindi Allison Pacheco, 27, of Lubbock, Texas, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 11, 2026. She was born April 15, 1999, in Dallas, Texas, to David and Amy Rhoades, and she grew up in Fort Worth, Cincinnati, Tulsa, and finally in Levelland, Texas, where she graduated from Levelland High School with the class of 2017.

Anyone who knew Mindi knew this about her: once she made up her mind, the thing was as good as done. She was independent, strong-willed, funny, brilliant, and quick to act - sometimes quicker than the rest of us could keep up with. She entered the Honors College at Texas Tech University and finished her business degree in three years. She had recently begun her Master of Social Work at Texas Tech. She wanted to help people.

Mindi was fifteen when she took a job at United Supermarkets in Levelland, and it was there, soon after she started, that she met Christian Pacheco. They married on September 19, 2020. When their son, Christian Pacheco Jr. - CJ - was born over three years later, he became the joy of everyone's lives, and most of all hers.

She loved her family, every member of it, without reservation. When she married Christian, the Pacheco became more than her in-laws - they simply became her family, immediately and completely. That was how she loved: all at once, with everything she had.

Mindi had an incredible voice, and she loved to sing, especially at her church - Victory Life. That's where she, Christian, and CJ were accepted and loved, and where her friends became family to her.

She is survived by her husband, Christian Pacheco, and their son, Christian Pacheco, Jr.; her parents, David and Amy Rhoades; her two brothers, Timothy Rhoades and his wife, Natalie (and their son, Deacon), and Jonathan Rhoades; her grandparents, Hugh and Mary Rhoades and John and Ann Edwards; her parents in-law, Martin and Dominga Pacheco; and her husband's siblings, Martin III, Joseph and Clarissa - along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and a great many friends who loved her.
