Modesta dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Cooking for her family made her the happiest. She always offered food to anyone that stopped by her house.
Modesta worked hard to provide for her children as a single parent and endured many hardships but never lost her faith. She is going to be deeply missed, and it gives us peace knowing her son, Jimmy Ramirez; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Mia Ramirez, will be there to welcome her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; one son; one grandson; and one granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons: Chris Ramirez (Laura) of Plainview, Michael Ramirez (Josie) and Abel Ramirez (Kristi) of Lubbock; daughters: Vickie Ramirez (Johnny), Melissa Anbaz (Mozi), Melinda Medina (Jesse), and Amy Ramirez of Lubbock and Sheena Ramirez of Sterling City; 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
