M.E. “Curley” Cook, 86, of Lubbock passed away March 10, 2013. Morris Elvin Cook was born to Elmer and Edna Cook on September 14, 1926 in Linden, TX. Mr. Cook was a cattle and horse buyer and a barber by trade.He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Mr. Cook is survived by his loving wife of 64 years; Ruby Cook, children; Eugene (Margaret) Cook of Lubbock, John (Welda) Cook of Ralls, and Kenny (Belinda) Yates of Lubbock, grandchildren; Leah Cook, Christy Williamson, Daniel Cook, Ben Cook, Shawn Yates, Cassy Cook, Caleb Cook, great-grandchildren; Dakota Hart, Macon Williamson, Jordan Hart, Stetson Cook, and Zachery Yates. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:00pm at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Garrison Ageing Institute. Services are entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home.
