Graveside services for Oletha “Sis” Jacobs, 93 of Lubbock, will be at 10 am on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 5-7 pm. Mrs. Jacobs passed away on Wednesday, April 18th.
Oletha was born on August 28, 1918 in Turkey, Texas to Ben and Freta Giessler Bockleman. She graduated from Turkey High School and married U.S. “Speck” Jacobs on April 7, 1951 in Clovis, NM. They lived in Littlefield prior to moving to Lubbock in the 70’s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Sid Jacobs.
Survivors include one son, Ben Jacobs of Lubbock; one granddaughter, Rae Jacobs and 3 great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Nico, and Ian all of Lubbock.
