Pamela, the beloved daughter of Willard and Dorothy Galloway, was born on July 31, 1959, in Newcastle, Wyoming. She grew up a military brat, following her career Air Force father to his assignments in the US and Europe. She graduated from Hobbs High School, Hobbs, New Mexico, in 1977 as a member of the National Honor Society.
Pam worked as a retail clerk at Gibson’s Discount Center, where she met Curtis Lathram, who worked as a night security guard and stock clerk. On October 6, 1977, Pam married the love of her life, Curtis, and together they shared nearly 49 years of marriage. She later served as the Daycare Director and a Preschool Teacher at New Life Fellowship, where she felt she was fulfilling God’s calling to help lead and nurture the next generation. Pam and Curtis continued to live out that calling through their devotion to children’s and youth ministry, touching and shaping countless lives along the way.
In 1996, Pam and Curtis moved to Greenwood, Texas, where Pam became an office manager at Rod Ric Drilling Corporation. There, they continued investing in the lives of young people by keeping an open door and warmly welcoming others into their home. Pam could often be found in the kitchen, cooking for the Ranger football team or anyone who happened to stop by the house.
Pam loved being a Grammy to her grandchildren, reminiscing over old photos, reading, spending time with family, coloring, and visiting with her longtime friend, Lou Jean. She will be remembered for her love of card games, which brought so much laughter and happy tears, as well as for her warm hugs, infectious laugh, unwavering love, and her signature use of emojis.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Lathram; their sons, Gabrial (Kayla) Lathram and Travis (Tiffany) Lathram; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Taylor, Brayden, and Bethany; her father, Willard Galloway; her sister and best friend, Mae (Dave) Small; and her brother, Roy (Stacy) Galloway. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Katrina Lathram, and her mother, Dorothy Galloway.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd Street, Lubbock, TX 79424. Funeral services will follow on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, with Pastor, and nephew, JD Small officiating.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nursing team of University Medical Center for their care, support, and compassion.
Pam loved Jesus, she loved others, and she led the way forward.
