Patricia Jean Clay passed away October 3, 2023. She was born February 21, 1938 in Wheeler County, Texas, to the late Billy and Marie Darnell. Pat was the loving wife of Royce Clay for 66 years and 9 months, a minister’s wife, who encouraged others in so many ways, visiting sick or bereaved, cooking everything for others, church family or grandkid’s favorite things. Neighbors and friends knew Pat would help anytime, even if her health was ailing. She kept grandkids continually, days or even a special sleepover to do that child’s favorite things. Watermelons, kiddie pools, tree swings, homemade cookies and ice cream. Pat then became a great Gran and spoiling was at a new level, making tents or huge box forts with markers and colors there was no limit to the fun!
