Patricia Ann Coleman

Pat graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. She married the love of her life, Danny Coleman, on January 9, 1971, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and together they moved to Wolfforth to begin their farming legacy.

Pat was a devoted farmer’s wife and dedicated mother who lovingly guided her children through their early school years before pursuing nursing. She graduated from Covenant School of Nursing in 1987 and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Texas School of Nursing in 1988.

She served her community faithfully through her nursing career at Covenant Medical Center, where she worked in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and later in the Emergency Room. Pat also served as a school nurse with Lubbock Independent School District before joining Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District. There, she became Director of Nursing and was instrumental in expanding the network of school nurses to provide coverage for all campuses throughout the district. Her compassion, leadership, and dedication left a lasting impact on countless students, families, and colleagues.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Coleman.

She is survived by her children, Jenny Coleman, Jody (Chris) Hayes, and Charley Coleman; and by her beloved grandchildren, Coleman Hayes, Sterling Hayes, and Preston Hayes and her sister, Kae (Steve) Liles. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory always.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Lubbock Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Grayce Hospice and Caring Hearts for the loving care and compassion shown to Pat.
