Patricia Sue DeBusk

The family of Patricia (Pat) Sue Jones DeBusk will have a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 am Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Lake Ridge Chapel, Lubbock, Texas. A Family graveside service will precede the Celebration at 10:00 am where she will be laid to rest at Idalou Cemetery. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday, August 3, 2026 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 27, 2026, peacefully in her sleep.

On February 10, 1944, Patricia Sue Jones was born to Clifford and Gladys Jones in Orange, California. She moved to Idalou in 1958 and finished her high school education at Idalou graduating in the class of ’61.

After a year long courtship, Pat married Bubber DeBusk on August 4, 1961, at Idalou Methodist Church. Idalou is where they set their roots to raise 3 sons and were pillars in the farming community.

Pat was an adventuress at heart and everything she put her hand to had great success. From starting a partnership in photography called the Snap Shot, working at Hertz car rental, working the ticket counter for American Airlines to becoming the Executive Assistant at American Airlines.

She loved entertaining, enjoying the arts, being with her girlfriends and cooking, whether for Bridge Parties, being a room Mother, or holidays.

Survivors are; sons Brad (Nessa), Tim (Johna), and Stace (Tami); grandchildren; Dru Ammons (Andrew), Dylan, Dray, Dantz, Ashlyn, and Brock DeBusk, and Bailey Smith; great-grandchildren, Liv and Penelope Ammons, and Harper Smith.

She is preceded in death by her husband H.D (Bubber) DeBusk, parents Clifford and Gladys Jones, brothers Don and Bob Jones and daughter-in-law Diane DeBusk.
