Patricia was born in Hobbs, New Mexico to Louis Green and Elva Pearl Smalley October 27th, 1935. Mom passed on September 19th, 2026, peacefully.
Patricia was preceded in death by her 2 late husbands, Bill Bradford and Charles Elmore. She resided in Morton, Texas.
Patricia is survived by a younger brother, Wayne Smalley and wife Kim, two daughters, Phyllis Martin and Rhonda Bradford.
She was blessed with two grandchildren, Clarke Bradford III and Angela Martin. As well as 3 great-grandchildren. Alani, Benjamin, and Bryant.
Patricia also had a caring Son-in-law and Daughter-in-law, Leslie and Elva Elmore local in Morton, who has many precious children and grandbabies, she adored.
Mom grew up in a Christian family and was a wonderful gospel pianist and loved to sing gospel music. She was very close to her brother, Wayne. They loved to play the piano and sing together and talk everyday on the phone.
For the last couple years of mom’s life, she had a precious Caretaker, Patricia Tarango. She lives in Morton and would visit Mom several times a week, helping her with meals, cleaning, laundry, and anything Mom needed. Mom loved Patricia’s homemade breakfast burritos. When Mom became unable to reside in her home alone, Patricia would travel to Levelland a couple of times a week to visit and pick up her laundry. She would bring Mom food sometimes, and Mom would rave about how good it tastes compared to the food at the nursing home. Patricia became a family member of Mom and me (Rhonda). She was always there when we could not be.
Patricia would hold mom’s hand, spend hours talking and laughing with her, and letting her know she was not alone.
Phyllis and I would call her frequently, wishing we could be by her side. Each phone call mom’s mind slipping more each day.
Both Patricia and Elva ran to mom’s side the day she passed, held her hand, and said a beautiful prayer for mom with me (Rhonda) on speaker phone. I was able to tell Mom how much I love her and as she always said at the end of every phone call to Phyllis and I, HUGS & KISSES.
Mom, your beautiful smile always brightens up a room, and you are and will be forever in our hearts. Your steadfast faith has brought you home. This is where you will collect your fortune Mom, with your maker and lost loved ones. May an angel’s chorus greet you in Heaven.
Like ocean waves crashing against the shore, the precious memories remain long after this goodbye.
Even though you’re no longer with us Mom, you are right here in our hearts always.
HUGS & KISSES MOM…..
