Patricia Ewing

Patricia Jean Howorth Ewing, 76, of Lubbock, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016. Patricia Jean Howorth was born October 13, 1940, in Quanah, Texas. She soon found her sweetheart Don Ewing and they married in 1959. She spent the whole of her married life in Lubbock raising a family.

She worked in the credit department of Sears, retiring after 15 years of service. She then worked in the prescription and medical supply field, retiring in 2008 from Caprock Home Health.

Pat, or Mimi Pat, enjoyed being the grandma for her whole block. She supported her youngest neighbors by consistently purchasing their wrapping paper, candy, popcorn, and magazine subscriptions. Her two greatest joys were having a lifelong sweetheart in Don and celebrating children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Don Ewing, and her daughter, Kaye Ewing Nicks. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Will and Sandy Howorth; her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Jody Ewing; four granddaughters Robyn Kyser and her husband Jason, Rhonda Horner, Briaun Pritchard, Brishel Pritchard; three grandsons, Thad Ewing, Justin Ewing, and Gentry Ewing; and nine great-grandchildren.
