Patricia Anne Moseley, 80, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 22, 2026. She was a respected judge, a dedicated public servant, and a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Pat will be remembered for her integrity, compassion, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
Pat was born on April 19, 1946, in Rio Grande City, Texas, to Percy and Virginia Moseley. She grew up alongside her brother, Jimmy Greg. In 1981, she married the love of her life, Norman Williamson, with whom she built a beautiful life and family.
A lifelong believer in education, Pat earned a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972 and inspired students as an English teacher before pursuing her legal calling. She returned to school and graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 1978.
From 1982 to 1989, Pat ran a successful solo law practice. She closed her office in 1989 to transition to full-time judicial service. She proudly served the State of Texas as an IV-D Associate Judge, presiding over legal actions for the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division. For more than 26 years, she dedicated herself to this vital role, protecting local families and serving the state with honor until her retirement in 2017.
Following her retirement, Pat embraced a life filled with adventure and deep family connection. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially chasing her grands and great-grands—who fondly called her "Mumzey"—from one activity to the next and cheering them on. An avid traveler, she explored the United States and journeyed abroad with close friends, truly living her retirement years to the fullest.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Norma Nash, her husband Eddy; their children, Jama Beerwinkle and husband Matt, with their children Laiken, Westin and Emalynn, and Katelyn Mortensen and husband Aaron, with their children Chad, Brylinn, and their late son, Truett. She is also survived by her son, Scott Williamson and wife Jami; their children Jim Williamson and wife Kari, with their children Darcy, Ayla, and Eden, and Jack Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Williamson; her cherished great-grandson, Truett Lee Mortensen; her brother, Jimmy Greg Moseley; and her parents, Percy and Virginia Moseley. She joins them alongside many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Those who knew Pat will remember her distinguished presence on the bench, but equally her kindness, quick humor, mentorship, and the distinct "spice" she brought to everyday life. Her legacy will endure through the countless lives she touched and the principles of fairness, service, and love that guided her every day.
Visitation for Pat will be held on August 28, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 29, 2026, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers at 10:00 AM, with a graveside service to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in honor of Mumzey’s precious late great-grandson to the Live Like Truett Foundation, Inc. Contributions can be mailed or delivered in person to Spur Security Bank, 5617 114th St., Lubbock, TX 79424, or made by calling the bank at (806) 412-5250.
