

Paul was born on August 16, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Paul and Elizabeth Titzell. He later moved to Lubbock, Texas, in the 1980s, where he built a life filled with family, friendship, and plenty of good food.
On May 21, 1987, Paul married the love of his life, Pam Cleveland, in Reno, Nevada. Together, Paul and Pam shared 39 years of marriage filled with adventures, travels, laughter, wonderful friendships, and countless memories.
Paul was truly one of a kind. He was kindhearted, generous, and loyal, a force of a personality and, to those who knew and loved him best, a hero. He had a true love of food and an appreciation for the good things in life, whether it was a great meal, a good cigar, a fast car, or simply being well dressed. An avid outdoorsman, Paul loved deer hunting, fishing, and a good hunting dog.
Above all, Paul was a loyal and trusted friend and a devoted member of his family. He was the kind of person people could count on, and his family knew him as the best brother-in-law and the most awesome uncle. He took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those he loved.
Paul was a longtime member of Monterey Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas.
Professionally, Paul spent 35 years as a financial planner with Morgan Stanley, building a long and successful career serving his clients.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Michael McKinney; his father-in-law, William Cleveland Sr.; and his brother-in-law, William “Cleve” Cleveland Jr.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Pam; his son, Scott; his grandson, Justin; his mother-in-law, Sue Cleveland; his sister-in-law, Lynda Shue; and his sister-in-law, Diane Smith, and her husband, Doug. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, including Gareth Pipes and wife Samantha, Allison Swan and husband Clayton, Alexis Keener and husband Branden, Riley Dunham and wife Bre, TylerRose Gesell and husband Connor, and Madison Arnhart and husband Kaiser. Paul also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, of whom he was incredibly proud.
Paul will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
A memorial service celebrating Paul’s life will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel in Lubbock, Texas, on October 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
