Pearlene Welch

Pearlene was born to Coy Mac White and Nona Pearl White in Sudan, Texas on December 3, 1933. From a young age, Pearlene had a loving heart and a desire to show God's love through her numerous acts of kindness and generosity.

Pearlene married Marvin “Skipper” Welch on May 5, 1957 and the two went on to have three children, Christopher Welch, Rhonda Barnett, and Kathy Gleason.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Pearlene also enjoyed bowling, fishing and ministering love to any children that were lucky enough to cross her path. Throughout Pearlene‘s life she held an unwavering faith in God which she shared with those surrounding her. In later life, Pearlene cherished spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Pearlene was greeted at heaven’s gates by her husband, Marvin “Skipper” Welch,; daughters, Rhonda Barnett and Kathy Gleason; parents, Coy White and Nona White; brothers, Arvis White and Loyd White; sister, Corene Johnson; great-grandson Hunter Daniel Welch, and great-granddaughter McKinleigh Lynn Behpour.

Pearlene is survived by her son, Christopher Welch; sister, Melva Tims; brother, Johny White; grandchildren: Aubony & Joe Alonzo, Brandon Welch, Coy Gleason, Staci & Taylor Behpour; her great- grandchildren: Oaklen Behpour, Nico Alonzo, Adaliz Alonzo, Liam & Kian Welch; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pearlene left a legacy of love. She will be remembered by her love of people, but more importantly by her love of God. She is deeply missed.

Her life will be honored and remembered with a visitation on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 6pm-8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will continue with a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10 in Generations Church. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
