Phyllis Ann Peters, born on August 21, 1941 to Edward and Jewel Evans, in Franklin County, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on June 23, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
On December 13, 1960, Phyllis married the love of her life, Carlton Peters, and together they built a beautiful life full of love and cherished memories.
Phyllis was a graduate of Shallowater High School and a dedicated member of the Elks Lodge. She had a passion for various hobbies and interests, including bowling, painting, quilting, and above all, spending quality time with her family.
Phyllis is survived by her beloved children: Teresa and Jim Olsen, Mike Peters, Melissa and Barry Rhodes. She was a cherished grandmother to Travis and Terie Anthony, Tyler and Darian Rhodes, Ryan and Sharon Rhodes, Chelsea Rhodes, Bridget Rhodes, Samantha Olsen, Carolynne Olsen, Michael Peters, Colby Peters and Brittany Hampton. Her legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren: Kolton, Axel, Kinsley, Rylen, Carsyn, Kai, Kameron, Kayden, and Addi. Phyllis is also survived by her siblings: Jackie Kjosa, Donna Brazell, Charles and Eugenia Evans.
In her journey beyond, Phyllis is reunited with her parents, Edward and Jewel Evans, her husband: Carlton Peters, daughter: Sandra Parrot, and sisters: Carle Graham and Norma Burt.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Resthaven Funeral Home. A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024 in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
