Rance Keith Turner passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 58. He was born on August 20, 1968, in Eunice, New Mexico, to Nell and Bill Turner. He moved to Lubbock, Texas, to attend college and made it his home, building a longtime career as a diesel mechanic. Rance truly loved being a mechanic and took pride in what he did.
In 1989, Rance married the love of his life, Christy. Together they raised two daughters, Bailey and Cydney, and shared the joy of four granddaughters: Collynn, Logan, Laken, and Reese. His granddaughters had a special place in his heart, and he adored each of them.
Rance's love of cars and the music of Elvis Presley were familiar parts of his life. He also cherished his beloved dogs, Ellie and Dixie, who brought him companionship and happiness.
Rance was preceded in death by his wife, Christy Turner; his father, Bill Turner; and his grandparents.
Rance will be greatly missed and never forgotten. His family finds comfort in knowing that Christy greeted him with open arms in heaven. Reunited in love, they now rest peacefully together for eternity.
A Funeral Service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 4402 40th St, Lubbock, TX, on September 25, 2026, at 2:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX, on September 25, 2026, at 3:30 pm.
