Raul P. Gonzales, 66, passed away Sunday October 11, 2015 in Lubbock. He was born November 12, 1948 in Lovington, New Mexico to Daniel and Maria Gonzales. He married Mary Gutierrez April 12, 1969. Raul graduated from Lubbock High School in 1969 and joined the US Marine Corp that summer, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked at Reese AFB, before it closed, as a parachute rigger.
Raul loved and enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mary of Lubbock; daughter, Olivia Boggs and husband Matt of Lubbock; brothers, Ruben, Gilbert and Richard; sisters, Sandra Saiz, Leticia Gonzales, and Lyonella Mahan; granddaughters, Alexus Lopez, Mariah Lopez and Mattison Boggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Sammy Gonzales.
