Ray King

Graveside services for Ray King, 90, of Lubbock will be held at 10 am, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Ray passed from this life Tuesday, July 11, 2011 in Lubbock.

William Ray King was born March 2, 1921 in Marietta, OK to the late David and Viola King.

He married the love of his life, Nell Tobin, May 17, 1947 in San Marcos, Texas.

He served in the United States Air Force until his retirement. During his service he spent three years as a prisoner of war. After his retirement from the military he began a second career in the Food Service Industry.

Ray was a member of the D.A.V. and the Lost Battalions Association.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Nell, children, Jimmy King and wife, Debbie, David King, Barbara King, Billy King and wife, Dedra, grandchildren, Kelly King, Kasey Hagan and husband, Brent, and great grandson, Zane Hagan. Other Survivors include nephew, Marvin and Xon Crossnoe as well as numerous nieces.
