Richard Powers age 83 of Lubbock, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was born to Minnie (Adams) and Herff Powers on July 22, 1932 in Baytown TX. He graduated from Lubbock, TX and upon graduation, he entered the Navy. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he returned to the Lubbock area, and began working the family farm. His farm was his life. He was a proud member of Broadview Baptist Church.
Richard is survived by his cousin, Brenda (David) Jarnagin, of Lubbock, whom he loved dearly. He was preceded by his parents and a brother John.
