Rick Lee, 61, of Lubbock, passed away September 13, 2018. He was born in February of 1957 in Lamesa and was raised there, graduating from Lamesa High School.

Rick had a career in Industrial Sales and had worked for Midcap Bearing, Lubbock Gasket and Kaman. He had a passion for his family, grilling, story-telling and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his children: Michael and Jennifer Lee and Cassandra Gonzales, and his grandchildren; Arissa Rios and Michael Lee Rodriguez.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Online condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com.

Biography

      Rick Lee was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Rick will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

       He was born on February 10, 1957 in Lamesa, Texas and was the son of Welch and Mildred Lee.

  A typical teenager, Rick had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Lamesa High School. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.

      Rick worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Rick was blessed with 3 children, Michael, Jennifer and Cassandra. Another blessing for Rick was the gift of 2 grandchildren, Arissa and Michael Lee.

      Fortunately, Rick enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Rick worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was industrial sales. He was employed for Midcap Bearing, Lubbock Gasket and Kaman. Rick always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.

      Rick enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were his family, grilling, story-telling and the Dallas Cowboys. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.

      Rick passed away on September 13, 2018 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He is survived by his children: Michael and Jennifer Lee and Cassandra Gonzales, and his grandchildren; Arissa Rios and Michael Lee Rodriguez. Memorial Services were held at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas.

      Simply stated, Rick was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Rick leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Rick Lee.
