Last night I was looking at the pictures here on line of RIckey.  First thing that came to mind was that smile.  From the baby Rickey to the grown Rickey, that smile was always there.  Ever present and steadfast. When we friends and family remember you in our heads, your smile will fill our hearts. I know that smile is even bigger now.  A job well done, my friend.

I WAS INTRODUCED TO RICKEY AS MY TRAINER WHEN I FIRST STARTED WITH GERMANIA FARM MUTUAL INSURANCE. WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MOMENT OF DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT IS HAPPENING "NOW" WILL HAVE A LONG TERM EFFECT ON EVERYTHING GOING FORWARD. RICKEY'S TRAINING ME IN THE INSURANCE BUSINESS WENT FAR BEYOND JUST BEING A GOOD ADJUSTER. HE REPRESENTED WHAT IT MENT TO BE A HARD WORKING, GOOD HEARTED, FUN LOVING PERSON. HE TAUGHT ME TO BE FAIR AND HONEST AND TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION WHAT OUR JOB WAS AND TO DO OUR BEST TO REPRESENT OURSELVES AND OUR COMPANY WITH INTEGRITY AND STILL HAVE A GOOD TIME DOING IT. I TRAINED WITH HIM FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND OF COURSE COUNTLESS TRIPS TO WORK CLAIMS ALL OVER TEXAS FOR THE FOLLOWING 10 YEARS OR SO. TO ME... RICKEY ALWAYS REPRESENTED HIMSELF IN A PROFESSIONAL AND FAIR MANNER, AND BECAUSE OF HIM, I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THAT I HAVE TOO. I CONSIDER IT ONE OF MY BETER TRAITS AND I FEEL THAT IT WAS GIVEN TO ME "PERSONALLY" FROM RICKEY. I SEEN HIM 2 WEEKS AGO AND WE TALKED AND LAUGHED FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS JUST LIKE OLD TIMES. I TOLD HIM WHEN WHEN WE PARTED, HOW MUCH I APPRECIATED HIM AND EXACTLY HOW I FELT HE HAD PLAYED A LARGE PART IN MY SUCESS AS  BUSINESS MAN. YOUR HUSBAND WAS TRUELY A DELIGHT TO KNOW AND I CONSIDERED IT AN HONOR TO CALL HIM MY FRIEND. HE HAS BEEN VERY INFLUENTIAL IN MY LIFE AND FOR THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM.

Rickey will be Greatly missed by all of us here in the office.  I have had the pleasure of working with Rickey the past 9 years and have come to Love him like a family member.  He always found time to let us know how the kids were doing in their many activities and where he was traveling to watch them play; and how he was lucky to have Debbie to keep him in line.  We always enjoyed getting the Christmas cards and seeing how much the kids have grown! He was the most positive person I have ever known and could always put a smile on your face, even over the phone :)  He was a great role model for his children & anyone that has ever been around him! Rickey will be deeply missed!  My thoughts and prayers are with you Debbie, Todd, & Kaylee and all of your extended family!!
