Robbie Frances Sharp entered rest on November 3, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born to Monroe and Mary Turner in Dallas, Texas on August 8, 1929.

Robbie retired as a Monitor Technician with Covenant Medical Center. She loved her yard work, travelling, cooking and opening her home to serve others. She also had a passion for music. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Sharp; brother, Roger Turner and a grandson, Turner Chase Parks.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Teena Parks Sharp of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Todd Parks of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Neda Turner Lomax of Sherman, Texas; several special nieces and nephews, relatives and close friends.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be: stepson, Dennis Robinson; nephews, Trent White and Jeff Shepherd; friends, Matthew Rhea, Dillon O'Bannon and Brad O'Bannon.

Honorary Pallbearers: great-nephew, Aric White and friend, Jeremiah Eade In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to: Chase Parks Foundation, P.O. Box 1432, Corsicana, Texas 75151.

Biography

Robbie Frances Sharp was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Robbie will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

      Robbie was born on August 8, 1929 at in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of Monroe and Mary Turner.  Robbie was raised with a brother, Roger. Robbie was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her sibling. She and her sibling experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

      Robbie worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Robbie was blessed with two children, David and Teena. Another blessing for Robbie was the gift of one grandchild, Todd.

      Fortunately, Robbie enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Robbie worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was Monitor Technician. She was employed for Covenant Medical Center. Robbie always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.

      Robbie enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were yard work, travelling, cooking and opening her home to serve others. She also has a passion for music. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.

      Robbie passed away on November 3, 2018 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by her loving daughter, Teena Parks Sharp; grandson, Todd Parks; sister-in-law, Neda Turner Lomax; several special nieces and nephews, relatives and close friends. Services were held at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Robbie was laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.

      Simply stated, Robbie was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Robbie leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Robbie Frances Sharp.
