Mr. Alvarez was born on December 25, 1945 to Robert Alvarez Sr. and Juanita F.
Alvarez in Big Spring, Texas.
Mr. Robert Alvarez served in the US Army from 1968 to 1974.
He enjoyed watching football and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. His family will always remember the love he had for all of them. He will be greatly missed.
Robert was a member of the Catholic Church for many many years.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert and mother Juanita Alvarez, and a nephew David Chadis.
He is survived by brothers and sisters; Mary A.Garza (Abel) of Austin, Ricky Alvarez, Pearl A. Salinas
(Gilbert), Priscilla Alvarez (Roy Lopez), Monica A. Ramirez (David), Ruben Alvarez(Gabby)
and Ray Alvarez all of Lubbock. He is also survived by numerous of nieces
and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Alvarez, Ruben Alvarez, Ray Alvarez, Gilbert Salinas Jr., Anthony Lopez, and Zachary P. Ramirez.
Robert's visitation will held on January 6, 2021 at 5:00 pm at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel 5740 West 19th St. Lubbock, TX, Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Graveside service will be held on January 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park, officiated by Father Joseph Thanavelil.
