Robert Bearden Campbell

Robert was born on June 7, 1936 in Roaring Springs to J.K. and Vada Campbell. He graduated from Roaring Springs High School in 1955 where he was affectionately known as “Humppy”. Robert attended Abilene Christian University and was employed by the Texas Highway Department for 29 years. On February 29, 1989 he married Elizabeth Tomlinson.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, J.K. and Vada; brothers, J.W. and wife, Joan, and J.K. Junior; sisters, Ruth Campbell and Ann Vasqes; son, Ronnie Tomlinson; and daughter, Sharon Moore.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth; brother, Eddie Ray; three children and their spouses, Gary and Carrie Tomlinson, Debbie and Keith Sumner, and Shelia and Troy Pinkston; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends and loved ones.

Robert was a devout Christian and attended Lakeridge Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, brother, father, papa and friend who will be fondly missed. Celebration of life services for Robert will be on Saturday July 6. 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Lakeridge Baptist Church with Brother Raif Turner officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6:00p.m.-8:00 at Resthaven.
