

Robert L. “Bob” Cash, Sr. died November 29, 2016. He was born in Victorville, California in 1928 to Jim Guy and Esma (Morris) Cash. He graduated in 1945 from Post High School, Post, Texas. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Texas. Bob served in the U.S. Army working at the Red River Arsenal in the early 1950’s.
He married Joyce Hunter on June 29, 1951. She died on December 20, 1956. At that time the family with 2 sons and a daughter lived in Dallas, Texas where Bob worked for Texas Instruments. He married Donna J. Smith on April 11, 1961 and they added 2 more sons to the family. In 1964 he became the Plant Manager for Litton Industries in Lubbock. Bob then became an independent business owner and consultant, working with a wide variety of businesses.
On October 3, 1981 he married Evelyn B. Bricker and she preceded him in death March 24, 2010. His beloved grandson, Patrick Cash died in December of 2009.
Surviving members of his family include a sister, Maxine C. Sigman; five children, Dr.Robert L. “Lin” Cash, Jr.(Claudia), James H. “Jay” Cash(Kathy), Martha “Marty” Cash-Burless(Tom), William D. “Bill” Cash(Chris), and Donald E. “Don” Cash(Debbie); 9 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Bob was active in many civic organizations especially the South Plains Council BSA, Kiwanis, and the Lubbock Chorale. He sang in church choirs throughout his life and was an active part of the First United Methodist Church music program.
