Robert Rodriguez entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2022 at the age of 73. Born in Crystal City, Texas to the late Frank Sr. and Isabel (Lopez) Rodriguez on April 24, 1949; he now has reunited with his parents, his brother Steve Rodriguez, and sister Mary E. Atkinson.
From a very young age Robert was very active in his life, as he played baseball as a child, and while attending Frienship high school he played football and ran track. As a youth he found his passion and calling in the music industry. He began singing in Tejano bands and was a vocalist and mariachi for numerous years. He was very active and faithful in his sacramental life as well, as he served as a Cursillista and Rollista. Robert adored his family dearly, he enjoyed every moment with them, and his pride and joy was his grandson; which he loved spoiling.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Isabel Rodriguez Turner and husband Dustin; his grandson, Declan Ignacio Joaquin Turner; his siblings and their spouses: Frank Rodriguez Jr. and wife Lupe, Armando Rodriguez and wife Debbie, Elvira Zuniga and husband Felix, Manuel Rodriguez and wife Maria, Rudy Rodriguez and wife Doylene, Alice Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez and wife Elida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family invites you to celebrate his life with visitation beginning on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 5pm-8pm. Rosary will be recited at 7pm.
