Roberta "Granny" Woodward

Granny was born March 21, 1935 in Seaside Oregon to parents Jack and Katherine Niemi. She married Richard Woodward April 9, 1955 in Vancouver, Washington. Together they were blessed with three children which were the pride of their lives. Being an Air force wife she traveled and lived in many cities and as a true home maker, she always made their new place a home. She spent many hours at her children's activities and school functions. There was no limit to the love and support that she gave her children and grandchildren . Her children and grandchildren were her greatest blessing in her life .

Granny had a deep love for children especially babies and devoted her life to their care and nurturing, babysitting well into her 70's. It meant so much to her to be a part of so many children's lives.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard .

Granny is survived by her brother Jack Niemi of Seaside, Oregon; her sons, Ric Woodward and wife Diane of Denton, Texas, Bob Woodward and wife Vicki of Garland, Texas and daughter Kathi Smith and husband Shannon of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Ashley Rotan, Emily Woodward, Cory Woodward, Ryan Woodward, Katie Woodward and four great grandsons .

In lieu of flowers Granny requested donations be made in her memory to St Jude Children's Hospital .
