Ruth Voncile Lusk

She dated, fell in love, and then married a young man by the name of Ruffus S. Lusk on May 6, 1942. During their lives, they lived in Austin, Texas and then moved to Lubbock, Texas where they raised their three children. During their retirement, they built a home in Spur, Texas and lived there until 1996 and then returned to Lubbock. She resided at Raider Ranch and previously at Wedgewood South Assisted Living.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; step-father; her loving husband, Ruffus; a son, Joe R. Lusk; a daughter, Charlotte Ruth Lusk Bryant; Four brothers; two sisters; a grandson; a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Ruth is survived by her youngest daughter, Linda L. Dumont (Stephen) of Camp Verde, Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Lusk of Lubbock; four granddaughters, three grandsons, Seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park of Lubbock beside her loving husband of 67 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
