Salvador Martinez

Salvador G Martinez, 80, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012. Salvador was born January 16, 1932 in Melvin, TX. Resident of Lubbock for over 50 years, he played the guitar for Our Lady of Grace Church for many years.

Salvador is survived by his wife, of 57 years, Elidia; 6 children, Rosemary Reuscher and husband Terry, Ofelia Martinez, Erlinda Castro and husband Johnny, David Martinez and wife Rachel, Delia Martinez and husband Alex and Patricia Hamilton and husband Jeff; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be David A Martinez, Juan Lucero, Hector Flores, Daniel Reuscher, Chris Flores, Dionicio Martinez and Robert Maldonado and the Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathon Castro and Skyler Hamilton.

Visitation will be held today, August 7 with a Rosary at 7:00 pm in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home. A mass will be celebrated Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Catholic with burial to follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
