Dear Melanie and Cathy,

I have such wonderful memories of your dear father, my Uncle Sam. He was such a kind, compassionate, loving and fun-loving man, and dearly loved by my mother, Jessie. I wish I could have been with you and the family for the services, but please know that you were and are in my thoughts.

Dear Cathy and Melanie, We were so blessed by your parents. We loved them dearly, and I was so honored that Sam referred to me as one of his daughters. We remember the parties when Sam was the emcee--you never knew what he was going to say--we were all laughing! May God bless you and your family.

The Ditto and Chisholm families were close friends in Brownfield and I have known "Sammy" all my life and Mary Margaret since I was 18. We were longtime friends for many years. I am saddened by his passing but want the family to know that he was the most respected man I've ever known and treated Mary Margaret like a queen. Please accept my loving condoloncies for your loss.
