Nina was born on November 29, 1935, to Pedro and Eulalia DeLeon. She lived a life defined by love, faith, hard work, and devotion to her family. On April 19, 1954, she married the love of her life, Jose Rosales. Together they built a beautiful life and family, sharing a bond that remained strong throughout their years together. Nina raised her family in Wolfforth and was a lifelong member of the Wolfforth community. She took great pride in her hometown and was blessed with many lifelong friendships. Through her years of service, faith, and involvement in the community, she became a familiar and beloved presence to generations of families who knew and loved her.
Nina dedicated many years of service to Frenship Independent School District before retiring. Even after retirement, her caring heart led her to continue working at a daycare, where she lovingly cared for children and touched the lives of many families. She never met a stranger and had a special gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved.
A faithful member of Wolfforth Methodist Church and the Lakeridge Ladies, Nina treasured the friendships and fellowship she found within her church and community. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and generosity she showed to others.
One of Nina’s greatest joys was dancing. Whether at family celebrations, community gatherings, or simply whenever music filled the room, she loved to dance and share her joyful spirit with those around her. Her laughter was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to so many. She also cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Lefty, who was never far from her side.
More than anything, Nina loved her family. She was the heart of countless family gatherings, always ready with a warm hug, a listening ear, and unconditional love. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy. The lessons she taught, the traditions she passed down, and the love she shared will remain with her family forever.
She is survived by her children, Juan and Kerri Rosales of Wolfforth; Sylvia and Jay Hart of Arizona; Joe J. Rosales of Austin; and Isaias and Amy Rosales of Lubbock. She is also survived by her brother, Juan DeLeon; her beloved companion, Lefty; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Jose Rosales; her great-grandson, Roy “Fella” Matthews III; her parents, Pedro and Eulalia DeLeon; her brothers, Jose Maria DeLeon, Andres DeLeon, and Monico DeLeon; and her sisters, Bertha Rosales and Adelaida Vela.

Her strength, faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family have left a legacy that will continue for generations. We will forever cherish the memories she gave us, the wisdom she shared, and the love she so freely poured into our lives.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and acts of kindness during this difficult time.
She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
