Selestino Guajardo

Tino was born on August 13,1964 in Lubbock, Texas to Raymond and Otilia Guajardo. He was a proud graduate of Lubbock High.

Tino dedicated much of his career to serving others through his passion for cooking. He worked as a chef for more than 19 years at Texas Tech and shared his talents at Hillcrest Country Club and Lakeridge Country Club. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to excellence. He is survived by his children, Celeste Guajardo (Emilio), Otilia (Moses) Luna, and Matthew Guajardo; his stepdaughter J’Lynn Gonzales; his grandchildren, Natalie Tijerina, Milio Guajardo, Sophia Stone, Haeleigh Moses jr., Haidyn Luna, Nyeli Guajardo, and Eli’ Ana Castaneda; his sisters Macaria Morales; and his brothers, Raymond Jr., Orlando (Marylou), Ernie, and David (Terri) Guajardo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Otilia Guajardo; his brothers, Pedro and Ricardo; and his sisters, Diana Guajardo and Naracellie Altamirano.

Tino was devoted father who dedicated his life to his children. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and providing for those he loved. In his free time, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, while relaxing with a cold beer. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and many lives he touched through the years.

Tino’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
