Sharon Mae McDonald

Sharon lived a life devoted to her family and those she loved. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry McDonald, with whom she shared many cherished years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Gladys Voegeli; her siblings, Mary Lou Donnell; Carmeita McDonald; and Victor Dale Voegeli.

She is survived by her faithful and beloved dog, Chloe, who was her constant companion. Sharon’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She leaves behind her children: Cindy Smith and husband Scott, Pam McDougal and husband Marc, and Wendy Clenney and husband Don.

She was a loving grandmother to Amber Brown; Candace Wilkins and husband Richard; Joshua Smith; Brittany Lewis and husband Britton; Tara Lashford and husband Patrick; and Tyler McDougal. Her legacy continues through her treasured great-grandchildren: Brynlee Wilkins, Berkley Wilkins, Brooke Brown, Bailey Brown, Caden Smith, Micah Lewis, Judah Lewis, Elijah Lewis, Clara Kate Lashford, Lottie Lashford, Tye McDougal, and Miles McDougal.

She is also survived by her sister, Betty Jane Imboden and husband Bill.

She received a Master’s degree from Wayland Baptist University and committed many years in the nursing home industry as an administrator.

Sharon will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the many generations who were blessed to call her Mom and Shar Shar.
