Renea was born in Lubbock,Texas to Jerry and Sharon Garry on March 29th, 1962 and spent her 54th birthday celebrating the first day of her eternal life surrounded by those who had gone before her including her beloved Grandparents, Claydene and W.A. Stroud, Lou and J.G. Garry Sr., Uncles Pat Garry and Mike Garry and Carson Field who was among the many children she loved as her own during her years operating a daycare.
Among the hundreds of friends and blessed family members left to celebrate Renea's life are her parents Jerry and Sharon Garry; daughters, Lainie McWhorter Davis, Leigh Ann McWhorter, Bethany McKee and fiancé Alex Webster, son Corbin McKee and fiancé Kelsey Bigham. Renea was anxiously awaiting the arrival of grandson Payson McKee who along with her one year old granddaughter, Kynleigh Grace McKee will grow up knowing their NaNa through the stories from others and the legacy of love she left behind. Grandsons Hunter And T.J. Walker and granddaughter Haley Walker have been so blessed to be such a huge part of Renea's life and will miss her beyond measure. Other family members left to mourn her loss include sisters, Genea Garry and Michelle Garry, brother Jay Garry and his wife Dawn and niece Ivy Garry and nephews Johnnathan, Gunner and Jagger Garry.
Among Renea's greatest loves were children and the rodeo. During her sixteen years operating a daycare from her home she dedicated her time to not only caring for and loving many children, but befriending and loving their parents as well. Renea spent most of her spare time volunteering countless hours for the Professional Senior Bull Riders and the Texas Cowboy Rodeo Association where she served as secretary for both. Her love of the rodeo often put her cheering loudly and with much enthusiasm from the bleachers as Corbin and Bethany participated in countless bull riding and barrel racing competitions.
The past 16 years Renea was employed by Associated General Contractors. She was proud of her position as office manager but was forced to retire last December due to her failing health. Although Renea had spent her past few months home bound she never lost her beautiful smile and courageous spirit. All who loved her find comfort in knowing that her broken body and weary soul have now been mended and she's free and safe and labors no more.
