at the age of 95.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park on Thursday, May 28th under
the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas.
Born in Free Town Sierra Leone, Africa, Mrs. Ameen’s family was from
Bhamdoun, a small village outside of Beirut, Lebanon. Mrs. Ameen lived in
Lubbock,Texas from 1945 - 2013 and resided in Dallas,Texas from 2013
until her passing. Her husband, Earnest Salman Ameen, also from
Lebanon, preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include 4 children, Linda Ameen of Wylie, Texas, Cynthia Ameen
Grubb and husband Dennis of Dallas, Texas, Larry Ameen and wife Cindy
of Santa Barbara, CA and Rusty Ameen and wife Jan of Phoenix, Arizona.
Grandchildren include Darren Grubb and wife Lindsay, Danielle Shroyer
and husband Dan,all of Dallas, Monica MeGown and husband Jeff,
Kimberly Lee and husband Clay, all of Highland Village,Texas, Aaron
Ameen, Anthony Ameen and wife Stephanie, all of Phoenix. Annie Cox and
husband Danny of Ojai, CA, Lily Costner of Nashville, TN, and Joe Costner
of Los Angeles, CA.
Great grand-children include, Cole and Tiller Grubb, Mia and Grant
Shroyer, Noah and Myla MeGown, Olivia, Elijah and James Lee, Vivian and
Vance Ameen, Madelyn and Laycie Michell, and Vincent and Vida Cox.
