Mrs.Sybil J.Tharp passed away January 12, 2013 in Lubbock with her daughter at her side.A visitation will be held Monday January 14, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6 until 7 p.m.Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 15,2013 in Resthaven's Mausoleum Chapel at 10 a.m. with Charles Carmen officiating.
Sybil was born in Brownfield , Texas on September 17, 1928 to the late John B. and Mattie Olive Williams.She married Ralph C.Tharp on March 16 , 1946 in Brownfield, Texas.She spent most of her life as a home maker.She was a member of Raintree Christian Church.She loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter playing bingo and cooking.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Carole and husband Randall Cates;granddaughter, Cappi and her husband Eric Phillips, two great-grandsons, Slade and Brody Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family also wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Bender Terrace Nursing Home for their loving care and support.
