Terri Y. Steggs was born in Artesia, NM on May 9, 1956. She is survived by her husband Scott Steggs of Slaton, TX, her daughter Katrina Britt Steggs of Dallas, TX, parents Ray and Joyce Jones of Artesia, NM, 2 brothers Michael Jones of Carlsbad, NM, and Kelly and wife Kim Jones of McKinney, TX, her brother and sister-in-laws Michael and Sherri Steggs of Slaton, TX, and CL and Robin Grumbles of Odessa, TX, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent in her name to Interim Hospice, Alzheimer's Association, Oakwood Baptist Deaf Church, Lubbock TX.
She was an interpreter for the Deaf at Lubbock ISD, and Post ISD. Beloved by family and friends. She never met a stranger. She was a wonderful counselor. She loved advocating for the Deaf. She loved animals. She is a champion. She was a tough woman, a fighter to the end. She loved playing the violin.
